Novin Saffron, a private company established in the year 1992, with the world's largest complex for the processing and packaging of saffron, is equipped with advanced specialized quality control laboratories. We are the first in the world to have obtained quality control registration for ISO 9000, HACCP, and ISO 14001 for saffron, and to establish and accredited laboratory for saffron. Our routine sampling and testing methods include thin layer chromatography for the detecting of added colorants, spectrophotometry for the measurement of coloring power, high performance liquid chromatography for the determination of safranal content, the aroma factor and other effective components s well as adulteration by added colorants, and microbiological tests for microbial flora.
