Aged Artwork has previously specialised in the ageing of historic and modern images, both original and reproduction. We are able to work with images on a diverse range of material such as paper, silk and canvas. The ageing of wood products has produced some spectacular results. On a recent commission, an item of mahogany furniture was aged with the resultant wood panel assuming an opulent leather like finish, much to the delight and satisfaction of the client. After extensive testing and practice, plaster has been the latest success of 2006! Working with ceiling roses, cornices and large plaques, our ageing technique has variously made the plaster look aged through to the plaster plaques looking as though they were made of stone.
